An Ode to Montenegro's Nature and Indigenous Varieties
Located in the heart of Montenegro's mountainous region, Lipovac Winery produces exceptional wines from high-altitude vineyards. Benefiting from cool breezes from the Adriatic Sea and rugged, rocky terrain, the winery perfectly expresses the deep, wild character of the indigenous Balkan varieties.

"Vranac" is an authentic Montenegrin indigenous grape variety, highly esteemed for its large black berries and distinct Balkan character. The grapes are hand-picked after a double selection process, cooled to 4°C, then fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control (25°C-28°C) for approximately 15 days. After natural malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels (500L and 2000L) for 12-24 months, and then rested in bottle for another 3 months before release. With international acclaim, including recommendations from Decanter magazine, the winery's dedication to promoting Montenegro's indigenous varieties to the world is evident.
