Trapan, a flag-bearer of the modern Istrian revolution. Founded in 2005 by Bruno Trapan, this winery is committed to organic and biodynamic farming, expressing "love, energy, and courage."
Tasting Notes
Color & Aroma
Deep, dense ruby red. A rich bouquet of cassis and ripe cherries, intertwined with delicate nuances of violets, leather, and Mediterranean smoke.
Taste
A harmony of fresh fruit and silky tannins. The minerals of indigenous Teran, the spice of Syrah, and the soft lingering finish of Merlot are all in perfect balance.

Winemaking & Variety
■Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Teran
A blend of international varieties with the local indigenous Teran. It boasts a unique balance that expresses the terroir of Istria from multiple perspectives.
■Winemaking: Precision process and harmony with nature
Grapes are carefully crushed, then undergo 4 days of "cold soak" to concentrate color and aroma. Maceration for each variety takes 8-12 days, followed by fermentation at 22-24°C.
■Aging: Dialogue in oak barrels
Aged for 12 months in French oak barriques (65%) and large barrels (35%). Bottled unfiltered, balancing power with a refined, silky texture.

The rich, concentrated flavors nurtured by Istria's red soil, "terra rossa." The Mediterranean sunshine and sea breeze impart abundant fruit, elegant acidity, and a distinctive minerality to the grapes.
