Passionate Revival of a Rare Varietal and Traditional Winemaking
Mavrokalavrytino, widely known as "Black of Kalavryta," is an incredibly rare indigenous Greek varietal. Tetramythos proudly produces the world's only single-varietal wine from this grape, offering a pure, unblended expression of its unique elegance.

Organically hand-harvested in mid-September, the grapes undergo traditional foot-treading and pressing before being placed in open fermentation tanks. Only free-run juice and wild yeasts are used, allowing for a two-week extraction and natural malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine rests for seven months in large 5,000-liter wooden casks, preserving its delicate aromas naturally.

Pure Terroir Cultivated at Breathtaking Altitudes
Ano Diakopto, Aigialeia region, Greece. Situated at a breathtaking altitude of 850 meters above sea level, this 3-hectare organic vineyard features bush-trained vines planted in 1985. The vines root deeply into clay soil with a flat limestone subsoil, naturally restricting yields (56 hl/ha) and imparting remarkable freshness and brilliance to the final wine.
