Led by the legendary Aleš Kristančič, Movia is a historic and globally renowned estate in Goriška Brda, pioneering natural winemaking since 1820. Their uncompromising dedication to biodynamics produces living wines that perfectly express the unique terroir where the Mediterranean and Alps converge.
Tasting Notes
■ Appearance: Deep, alluring ruby red with vibrant purple reflections.
■ Nose: An enchanting bouquet of ripe black cherry, cassis, and crushed blackberry, intertwined with notes of graphite, a hint of oak, and an earthy forest floor undertone.
■ Palate: Smooth and elegant, yet surprisingly fresh and lively with a vibrant acidity. Characterized by fine-grained, chalky tannins and a mineral-driven, taut finish that invites the next sip.
Grown with strict biodynamic farming and hand-harvested late in the season. After natural fermentation with wild yeasts, it is aged for 18 months in a combination of traditional oak barrels and concrete eggs. Bottled unfiltered to preserve the wine's raw, natural energy.

The vineyards are deeply rooted in the unique, nutrient-poor marl and sandstone soil known as "Opoka." The constant clash of warm Adriatic winds and cool Alpine breezes creates an ideal microclimate, forcing the vines to work hard and produce highly concentrated, expressive fruit.
