■ Appearance: A beautiful, brilliant amber with captivating golden reflections.
■ Aroma: Rich and complex aromas of dried apricots, candied orange peel, and honeycomb are elegantly layered with subtle nuances of sweet baking spices and roasted walnuts.
■ Palate: A rich and beautiful texture expands on the palate, with a gentle grip of fine-grained tannins derived from the grape skins. Flavors of ripe orchard fruit are perfectly balanced by a refreshing and crisp acidity, leading to a long, flavorful, and surprisingly dynamic finish.
Rkatsiteli is one of the world's oldest cultivated grape varieties, known for its remarkable ability to accumulate deep, complex sugars while retaining vibrant acidity. Its thick skins are ideally suited for extended skin-contact, producing wines of immense character and excellent aging potential.
The grapes are carefully hand-harvested, followed by a prolonged maceration period on their skins. This traditional skin-contact method naturally extracts the beautiful amber color, rich flavor compounds, and delicate tannins, seamlessly blending ancient techniques with Purcari’s pristine winemaking standards.
