The Story
An up-and-coming winery where tradition and modern technology merge
Established in 2004 from a rich family tradition, Vinogradi Nuić is a talented winery located in the village of Crnopod, Ljubuški. By practicing strict yield control in its 35 hectares of karst plateau vineyards and utilizing the latest winemaking technology, the winery consistently produces exceptional wines that express the true essence of the region.
Žilavka, an indigenous grape variety of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is highly regarded for producing crisp, aromatic, and mineral-rich white wines. To achieve optimal harmony, a small amount of traditional indigenous varieties (Krkošija, Bena) are blended, adding complexity to the aroma and balance to the structure. Grapes grown under strict yield limits are fermented and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using the latest winemaking techniques, perfectly preserving the bright, fresh fruit aromas and crisp natural acidity.
Food Pairing
Recommended perfect matches for this wine:
- ■ Karaage (Japanese fried chicken): The wine's vibrant citrus aroma acts like freshly squeezed lemon, and its crisp acidity cuts through the juicy richness of the karaage.
- ■ White mold cheeses (such as Brie or Camembert): The wine's pleasant minerality perfectly complements the creamy, earthy richness of the cheese without overpowering it.
- ■ Creamy seafood pasta: Žilavka's lively freshness balances heavy sauces made with cream and butter, cleansing and refreshing the palate with each bite.
Serving temperature: 10℃〜12℃ (Enjoy its true richness at this temperature range)
